CNC Design has invested
in R&D for roll grinding and roll measurement technology
jointly with Rolltest,
the world leader in roll measurement. We offer a complete
machine upgrade solution for Steel and Paper industries re-surfacing
worn rolls.
To meet stringent surface finish and requirements, roll profile
accuracies of microns are now necessary. Such precision can
only be achieved by combining accurate roll grinding technology
and roll measurement, and our roll grinder retrofit package
meets these requirements.
Roll Grinder Retrofit Package for Steel and Paper
Industry
Our Roll grinder retrofit pakcage will consist of the following
equipment. In practice, the package will be tailored to your
actual requirement:
- Siemens SINUMERIK 840D CNC system and AC servodrives
- Grinding Cycles, input displays for basic grinding data,
feedrates and speeds, grinding cycles for cylindrical, tapered,
concave, convex, and other roll shapes
- Rolltest Roll Measuring system including profile, eccentricity
and roundness.
- Process Reporting improvement including the addition of
central roll data management with direct data entry at machine;
interface to central server via Ethernet network; Part Process
Reports; and Production Reports.
- Roll inspection including Eddy Current or Ultrasonic Scanning
to detect part defects.
- Spindle Balancing from Micro Prazision Marx GmbH (MPM)
integrated into SINUMERIK 840D.
- Mechanical overhaul which includes re-leveling of machine,
re-alignment of machine, replacement of worn and faulty
parts, and addition of new components. Most work done onsite
or at our partners premises. ACUMAT Australia & Marand
Precision are our partner for the mechanical reconditioning.
