TIA (Totally Integrated
Automation)
Totally Integrated Automation (TIA) from Siemens is
a range of products which are optimally adapted to each other
covering the entire spectrum of industrial automation. Fundamental
to TIA is the uniformity of data management, configuration
tools and communication networks across the whole product
family.
As part of ongoing product development Siemens has now introduced
the revolutionary new Simotion range of products that complements
the existing PLC, CNC and drive based motion
control systems. SIMOTION is a member of the TIA
family, it therefore can be combined simply with other components
from the TIA range (e.g. drives, motors, I/O modules, HMI,
controls and networks) to form a complete automation system.
TIA offers a simple, efficient and flexible
modular system for the implementation of automation solutions
in a wide variety of applications: from stand alone compact
machines right up to fully integrated production lines.
This range of involved products essentially comprises:
- Industrial communication such as PROFIBUS, Industrial
Ethernet and PROFInet
