Dorries-Scharmann Heavy Cutting Milling Machine Retrofitting with
SINUMERIK 840C/SIMODRIVE 611A for Texmaco - Indonesia
Dorries-Scharmann Heavy Cutting Milling machine
has been retrofitted with SINUMERIK 840C for PT Texmaco Perkasa
Engineering, Indonesia. This machine has been manufactured in 1980.
While still having excellent mechanical parts condition, the existing
control and electrical equipment need to be replaced to achieve
better reliability and accuracy.
CNC Design have supplied new axis motors from 1FT5 series in conjunction
with world wide proven servodrive from Siemens:SIMODRIVE 611A.
The existing 75kW DC motor for spindle has been reused as it was
still in good condition. Reusing the existing large DC motor for
spindle cut retrofitting cost. Siemens Simoreg DC drives was used
to drive the existing DC motor.
The machine has been succesfully retrofitted and back into production
in 1998. Siemens SINUMERIK 840C CNC control is a nature choice to
accomodate 6 axis control requirement :
